Subject: TDLR Hires Code Specialist For Electrical Safety
Program
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Friday
announced that a master electrician from Houston has been named
as the
agency's electrical occupational and codes specialist to provide
technical expertise for TDLR's Electrical Safety Program.
Jerry Daniel, who has served as an enforcement investigator for
TDLR
since June 2004, was promoted to serve as electrical code specialist.
Daniel holds a state master electrician's license and has worked
in
the electrical field for more than 20 years, including 3½
years as an
electrical inspector for the City of Houston. He also was a general
manager for a small electrical and air conditioning contracting
business
in and around the Houston area.
"Jerry has a wealth of experience in the electrical field
that will
serve the agency, the program and the public well," said William
Kuntz, TDLR's executive director. "He is thoroughly familiar
with
all aspects of electrical work and will bring a valuable perspective
to
the Electrical Safety Program."
