HIRES ADMINISTRATOR FOR
ELECTRICIAN LICENSING PROGRAM
AUSTIN
- The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Tuesday
announced that Dennis R. Turner has joined TDLR's team as the electrical
occupational and codes specialist to oversee technical and administrative
issues for TDLR's new statewide electrician licensing program.
Turner has been employed in the electrical construction industry
since 1972 as an apprentice electrician, journeyman, master electrician,
superintendent and project manager, and he has been an independent
contractor since 1986. He has worked in many areas of the electrical
industry, including residential, commercial, industrial and nuclear
projects.
"We are very pleased to have found such a highly qualified
candidate for this position," said William, Kuntz, TDLR's executive
director. "Dennis is a very welcome addition to our already
strong team."
A native of Paris, Texas, for the past 20 years Turner has resided
in Augusta, Georgia. He is licensed as a master electrician in Alabama,
Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
He also is certified by the International Code Council as an electrical
inspector. He also holds a bachelor's degree and an associate degree
in electrical technology from Augusta State University.
