Please read the instructions carefully before completing the application. Filling out an application incorrectly or omitting necessary information can result in an application being delayed or rejected.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Web Site for additional forms and resources

The application forms for the new statewide electrician licenses, along with instructions that will help applicants fill out the applications correctly are also available on this state site. In addition, supporting documents also are available on the page, including a criminal history questionnaire for applicants who have past convictions and batch cover sheets for companies or individuals who want to submit multiple applications for a group or groups of applicants and pay with a single check or money order.

After completing your application, please mail the application and a check or money order for the correct application fee to the address listed on the application. DO NOT MAIL CASH. Failure to include the proper application fee can result in your application being rejected.

The TDLR website allows applicants to track the progress of their application as it is processed. To track your application, go to http://www.license.state.tx.us/ELC_LicStatus/ELC_LicSearch.asp to verify the status of your application.
